Here's Some More Effective Power saving tips

Today there are numerous ways to help save electricity. Wind power, solar power and so on are all great power saving tips. The information is readily available around the world. Various countries utilise incentives with power companies where they will buy the energy you produce but you have to make the initial investment.

But there are many power saving tips and here are some of them:

  • Replace Incandescent Light Bulbs - Old incandescent light bulbs waste money, both in energy and in the cost of the light bulbs. The modern fluorescent bulbs can last up to five years and use a fraction of the electricity. Should you be looking for bigger savings, go with LED light bulbs.
  • Unplug Your Devices - Many people believe when they turn the power button off, their appliance or electronic stops sucking power from the wall. Electricity may not be flowing and getting consumed, but it is being used. So, don't just turn your devices off, unplug them when not in use from the wall.
  • Make Sure To Turn Off Lights - This is an obvious one but unfortunately many people still don’t turn their lights off when not needed.
  • Purchase Energy Efficient Appliances – There is a system that rates appliances with labels that are considered high efficiency in terms of energy use. Look for the Energy Star label and on the appliance before you purchase them.
  • Wash Your Clothes Wisely - Washing machines and dryers make up a large amount of your energy use. How often you do you do the laundry? Only wash when you have a full load, and use cold water whenever possible.

Look, there are many additional power saving tips one can take full advantage and these are just a few quick ways you can start.

There are numerous systems online that you can also purchase that definitely make a huge difference in your energy bills. I have personally reviewed many of them and have decided to list my personal top 3 choices below should you be looking at solar panels, wind devices or energy creation devices.

"I originally knew this type of information was available but had no idea where to find it. You recommended a number of alternative methods and I have invested in three.

Do they work? In a word yes."

There is a little learning curve but hey, it's that way with everything. Now I can say with complete confidences my energy bill (11 and a half months later) are only 7% to 11% of what they were back in 2004. And that's with the hiked prices.
