This really happened to
me... It was only a little while back when I was
looking to buy quality solar panels for my home. The way I did
this was a typical approach... I phoned different companies who
supplied and fitted residential solar panels to supply a
quote.
After I received my first quote I was
shocked... the price of installing solar panels was HUGE! The
quotes ranged from $11,299 and went up to $29,999. I wanted to
invest into solar panels sure but I didn't want to throw my
hard earned money away. I figured at these prices it would take
almost ten years just to cover my costs.
Apart from being
environmentally friendly, the main purpose for investing in
residential solar panels for my home is to save money but at
the high prices I was quoted I couldn't see how it was
possible.
It was a BIG problem... I
was extremely disappointed but my typical nature to dig deeper
and find a better way led me to do a little of my own research.
I strongly believed there was a much cheaper and better way to
set up a solar power system for my home
and eventually I realised I was right.
It took me a while but my research eventually
proved to be well worth it. I discovered a number of different
ways to set up solar panels to my rooftop
while keeping the cost down to a tiny fraction of
what I was originally quoted. Boy was I
pleased...
Let me
explain where I got my information from... Some of the
best information came from speciality
books which were best sellers in the energy
saving industry. I originally purchased around a dozen books
just to compare. In comparison to the prices I was quoted for
the solar panels I figured the cost for purchasing these books
was insignificant. I made sure that the books were specifically
based on how to build your own solar panels and
windmills.
I quickly learnt that to
build your own solar panels or windmills (or both) was
exceptionally easy and very cost affective. The only area of
difficulty was comprehending some of the instructions in the
books as they were not all written in a
way that was easy to
understand.
But here's what I
found... There were three books that really stood
apart from the others and two which came with video tutorials.
Even though I didn't know it at the time, video tutorials
was exactly what I was looking for and needed. The videos
really made things much easier and they significantly cut down
the time I needed to invest in setting up my own solar
panels.
Anyways, in my spare time
and in only seven days I was able to build my
first residential solar panel system. It operates perfectly and
continues to operate perfectly to this very day...
and here's the best part... to build
the solar panel it
only
cost me just under $200. That is a far cry from the cheapest
quote I received of $11,299 to have a company install the
panels for me.
And so you see, using the
videos (and the books) I also managed to built a fully
functioning windmill in the same seven days. To build the
windmill it cost me a little over $155. The windmill keeps
pumping the electric current to my home even if the weather is
bad and the solar panel is not performing at it's
peak.
Guess
what??? when my next energy bill arrived I did the
maths and I saved enough money almost to cover the cost of
building both devices... how about
that  Had I have invested in the original
companies solar panels it would have taken me years to pay
for them with the savings... I managed to do it in just
one energy bill.
